The Shapes of My Life
I care about how I move in the world, how people move in the world. We live in bodies, yet are so often disconnected from and uncomfortable in our bodies.
My work in expressive arts and presentation coaching, stemming from decades of experience as a dancer, actor, choreographer, yoga practitioner, and performer, focuses on supporting people to reconnect with themselves and the innate wisdom and creativity found in their own unique movement.
I hold a masters degree in psychology from Meridian University and am a certified Life/Art practitioner through the Tamalpa Institute of movement-based expressive arts. From my nine years working as a Sign Language interpreter to co-founding an outdoors elementary school to teaching at The Freedom Theatre in Palestine, I have grown my movement-based approach to coaching people in embodying their lives, and creating personal and social change.
I am committed to a racial and social justice learning journey, continuing to grow while stumbling, falling down, getting back up, and taking another step forward.
More on my background
I have performed many different roles, all of which have helped to shape me: co-founder of an outdoor school for youth, Sign Language interpreter, manager of Power of Hope summer camp, and Peace Corps volunteer.
In 2019 I facilitated expressive arts at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin, Palestine.
